Second Generation, First to Lead
A Year That Comes Full Circle
Over the years, I’ve held many titles—advisor, President, board member, angel investor. But the one that continues to hold the most weight is first.
Earlier this week, I had the honor of delivering a Special Session at TransGlobal’s Annual Summit. The title of my talk was “Second Generation, First to Lead,” and for me, it wasn’t just a speech. It was a reflection on the journey I’ve walked, the ceilings I’ve had to break, and the leaders I now have the privilege to develop.
I spoke to a room full of people—some just starting their careers, some looking to lead, and others quietly wondering if their story even belonged in a space like this. I’ve been all of those people.
From cold calling through college… to a year I earned only $1,500… to being named Chief Information Officer and relocating to a city where I felt more invisible than included… I’ve lived every part of the growth curve. And it’s those moments—not just the wins—that shaped how I lead today.
It’s also what inspired me to start The Founder’s Chair.
Where TransGlobal is investing in the next generation of advisors and agency leaders, TFC is building a platform for strategic investors to walk alongside the next generation of entrepreneurs. Two very different formats. But at the core? The same mission:
Develop people.
Grow businesses.
Build legacy.

That’s what ties this all together.
At both TransGlobal and The Founder’s Chair, I’m surrounded by business owners who are building something that transcends language, background, or a resume. And I’m honored to sit alongside funders who don’t just write checks—they open doors, offer guidance, and take real pride in the people they back.
So, whether you’re a founder looking to grow, a funder looking to give back, or a leader wondering what’s next, I invite you to take a bold step this year. The ceiling above you might just be waiting for you to break through it.
Let’s build something that outlasts us!
